- Graphics: Lacking the 1.40+ lighting update (which added true-to-life reflections), v1.34 has a "crisp" look. Colors are slightly oversaturated, shadows are sharp, and the pop-in is noticeable on modern ultrawide monitors. But there is a nostalgic charm to the "old lighting" that many modders still prefer.
- AI Traffic: Stupider than today. They will brake-check you on the I-5. But that feels more realistic than the overly polite AI of 2024.
- Mods: The golden age. Almost every major truck mod (the Freightliner FLB, the International 9800) was updated for 1.34. The modding scene for this specific build is frozen in amber—perfectly stable.
