Autodesk 123d Design Download Mac !!install!! ❲2027❳
officially retired 123D Design in 2017. It is no longer available for direct download from Autodesk’s website and does not natively support modern Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) Macs. Apple Support Community 🚀 Recommended Alternatives
The Honest Recommendation:
The Good (At its peak)
- Intuitive Interface: Unlike professional tools (Fusion 360, SolidWorks), 123D Design used a simple, icon-based workflow. The "Primitive" shapes (box, sphere, cylinder) made modeling feel like digital LEGOs.
- Excellent for 3D Printing: It directly exported STL files and had built-in repair tools to check if a model was "watertight" (manifold) for printing.
- Mac-Like Experience: The UI felt cleaner and less cluttered than Windows counterparts, and it ran reasonably well on older MacBooks.
- Great Learning Tool: It taught core concepts (extrude, subtract, fillet, combine) that transfer to professional CAD.
- Autodesk announced in late 2016 that it would retire the 123D suite and consolidate functionality into Tinkercad, Fusion 360 and other products; new downloads and cloud services were removed soon after.
- Official Autodesk download pages for 123D Design were taken offline; Mac installers were removed earlier than some Windows builds. Third‑party aggregator sites occasionally host copies, but those are unmaintained and can pose security or compatibility risks.
.STL(for 3D printing – you will lose the edit history)..STEP(if you are lucky, 123D Design R2 allowed this – best for moving to Fusion 360).
