  1. Never charge non-rechargeable batteries. The KL 1208 is for lead-acid only (Wet, Gel, AGM). Using it on NiCd or Lithium batteries violates the manual and risks fire.
  2. Ventilation. Even at 1.2A, hydrogen gas can accumulate. Never charge in a sealed battery box or under a car hood with the hood closed.
  3. Disconnect in reverse order: Always unplug the AC cord before removing clamps from the battery. This prevents sparks.
