Chemsheets AS 1047 (Calorimetry 2) worksheet focuses on applying the energy transfer equation to determine enthalpy changes ( cap delta cap H
Sign convention:
Answer: ΔH_combustion = -2230 kJ/mol (Literature value for ethanol is ~-1367 kJ/mol? Check – this high value indicates significant heat loss. In worksheet answers, they often accept calculated value; refine by using q = mcdT correctly. Actually recalc: 12.122 kJ / 0.005435 mol = 2230 kJ/mol. If heat loss ignored, it's correct per data.)
Question 1: Combustion of ethanol
Data:
Mass of water = 200 g
Initial temp = 19.2 °C
Final temp = 37.8 °C
Mass of ethanol burned = 0.46 g
( M_r(\textC_2\textH_5\textOH) = 46.0 )
Fix: q_reaction = – q_water
- Moles H⁺ = 1.0 mol/L × 0.050 L = 0.050 mol
- Moles OH⁻ = same → limiting = 0.050 mol
- (q) is the amount of heat energy transferred (in joules, J),
- (m) is the mass of the substance (in kilograms, kg),
- (c) is the specific heat capacity of the substance (in joules per kilogram per degree Celsius, J/kg°C),
- (\Delta T) is the change in temperature (in °C).
Balanced Thermochemical Equations
Where required, answers include fully balanced equations with correct state symbols and ( \Delta H ) values.

Once I’ve downloaded this, how do I actually play the game? :)
install it with sims 3??? lol
When I move the crack files over to the game bin the usual “replace files” window doesn’t pop up. Nothing happens and when I went to launch the game it said that the sims 3 seasons disc is required.
