- USB Connection: Plug in the USB cable when prompted.
- Network Connection: Enter the printer’s IP address (print a configuration page from the printer’s menu to find this).
- Open Services (
services.msc).
- Stop the “Print Spooler” service.
- Navigate to
C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files.
- Restart the Print Spooler service.
- Full Driver & Software Package: Includes the printer driver, scanner driver (if using the scan feature via the fax scanner), and the MF Toolbox utility.
- UFR II Driver: Canon’s proprietary Ultra Fast Rendering II driver. This is usually the best choice for speed and print quality.
- PCL5e/PCL6 Driver: Alternative drivers that offer better compatibility with legacy software.
- Fax Driver: A separate driver that allows you to send faxes directly from your PC via the FAX L140.
