Instead, it’s an alternate history RTS that asks: What if the Cold War turned hot after the Cuban Missile Crisis escalated, and then continued into a frozen, desolate near-future? The “Ice Crusade” subtitle refers to a catastrophic “nuclear winter” scenario that has plunged much of the Northern Hemisphere into a new ice age. The game takes the tense political brinkmanship of the original crisis and replaces it with tank battalions fighting through snow-covered European ruins.
