The Movitel Dcom 3.5G is a USB modem used in Mozambique to access cellular internet on computers. These devices typically come with built-in software that installs automatically once plugged into a USB port. Initial Setup & Installation
and look for a new CD Drive icon (usually labeled "Movitel" or "Mobile Broadband"). Double-click the drive and run the installer. Connecting to the Internet Once installed, open the Movitel Dashboard (an icon should be on your desktop).
If the setup is correct, the status will change from Disconnected to Connected, and the signal bars should show a solid color (indicating 3G/H+ or 4G connectivity).
Setup (Windows example)
- Insert SIM into the modem, then plug the modem into a USB port.
- Wait for the modem’s virtual CD to appear; run the installer. If prompted by security warnings, approve the install.
- Open the connection manager app installed by the driver.
- Create a new profile (if not auto-filled):
