Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Version 1.02 Save Game Better _hot_ May 2026
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Version 1.02 Save Game: Everything You Need to Know
Final Pro Tip: If you install a better save and find it too complete (no challenges left), use the "New Game +" feature in the Save Editor to reset Parallel Quest progress while keeping all your skills and levels. That is the ultimate "better" experience. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Version 1.02 Save Game BETTER
- Observed / Assumed Save Game Architecture (v1.02)
If you are a player who only cares about beating the main story (The Frieza, Cell, and Buu sagas + the main villain, Demigra), the v1.02 save is perfect. If you want to fight Jiren, you need a modern save. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Version 1

The Process
- Disable Anti-Cheat: Rename
EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll in your game’s bin folder to EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll.bak.
- Locate Saves: Open File Explorer. Paste
%LocalAppData%\DBXV2\Saved\SaveGames into the address bar. You will see a folder with a long number (your Steam ID).
- Replace the File: Delete the existing
DBXV2.sav. Place the downloaded "better" save file here. Ensure it is renamed exactly to DBXV2.sav.
- Resign the Save (Crucial): Open the DBXV2 Save Editor. Click "Open" and select the new save. Go to "Tools" > "Resign Save". This changes the Steam ID from the original owner’s to yours. Without this, the game will say "No save data found."
- Launch the Game: Start XV2 via the
bin\DBXV2.exe (not through Steam launcher) to avoid forcing an update back to 1.20.
- The Pre-Nerf Era: Early patches sometimes nerfed the efficiency of farming Zenny or TP Medals. Some players prefer the economy of the early game versions.
- Stability: Ironically, some later patches introduced new glitches. Version 1.02 is often cited as a very stable base version of the game, particularly on PC.
- Modding Compatibility: This is the biggest reason. Many popular mods (transformation mods, custom skills, and CAC slots) were built specifically for the early exe files. If you want to use legacy mods, you often have to downgrade to Version 1.02, and you need a save file that matches that version.
