Epson L382 Waste Ink Pad Reset -

The "Waste Ink Pad" error on an Epson L382 (indicated by alternating flashing orange or red lights) means the internal counter has reached its limit

  1. Open the printer as if to replace the pad.
  2. Locate the waste ink tube that drains into the pad.
  3. Pull that tube out of the pad.
  4. Attach a longer silicone tube to it.
  5. Drill a small hole in the back of the printer case.
  6. Route the new tube outside into a bottle.
  7. Secure the bottle to the side of the printer.

If you cannot find a free Epson Adjustment Program that works, WIC Reset (Waste Ink Counter) is the industry standard. It costs about $10 for a reset key.
