A. The "Near Death" Crash Fix

This is arguably the most critical fix included in the patch. On modern operating systems (Windows 7/10/11), the game's script engine would overflow when calculating damage numbers near the player's death threshold. This resulted in an immediate CTD (Crash to Desktop) the moment you were about to die.
