In early 2026, a major Windows 11 update (Version 25H2) introduced a new Windows MIDI Services
Step 3: Install the patched version
- Right-click the new installer and select Run as administrator
- Follow the normal installation wizard
- You should see no driver signature warnings
Windows 11 users have recently reported significant issues with
- Ports disappear after sleep/hibernation → Fixed in v1.0.19 (beta as of 2025).
- MIDI feedback loops → Use loopMIDI’s built-in “Avoid feedback” option.
- High CPU in Cubase/Nuendo → Set port to “Disabled” for unused directions.
- Conflict with RTP-MIDI drivers → Reinstall Windows MIDI services.
