Microsoft stopped supporting the SideWinder line after Windows XP.
Windows 10 does not have native drivers for this stick.
If you just plug it in, Windows will either:

Ensure the AC power cord is plugged into a wall outlet. The USB port only carries data; the internal motors require 110/220V power. Joystick Feels "Loose" or Limp
Plug in the SideWinder FF2 – Windows will show “Unknown USB device”.
