Focus on Foundations: Prioritize handwriting, basic grammar, and spelling over complex creative storytelling. This exercise focuses on descriptive language and using
- 2 Minutes (Warm-up): Verbal storytelling. Ask the child to tell you what they will write about before they pick up the pencil.
- 8 Minutes (Active Writing): Complete one worksheet or 2-3 short sentences. Focus on quality over quantity.
- 5 Minutes (Review & Reward): Read the sentence out loud together. Fix one mistake (e.g., the capital letter). Praise the effort.
