Sketchup Round Corner Crack ~upd~ Top ❲Web❳
SketchUp cracks or missing faces during rounding occur when geometry falls below the application’s 0.025 mm tolerance limit, commonly resolved by scaling up the model by 100x or 1000x before applying the RoundCorner tool. Alternative solutions include reducing the segment count or switching to the more robust FredoCorner plugin for complex intersections. The Fix: The issue was that Round Corner created internal hidden geometry that wasn't welded. I had to: sketchup round corner crack top
The "Round Corner Crack Top" error in SketchUp can be caused by complex geometry, insufficient faces, or incorrect tool settings. By simplifying geometry, increasing faces, adjusting tool settings, or using alternative tools, users can often resolve the issue. If necessary, workarounds such as manual modeling or using third-party plugins can also be employed. SketchUp cracks or missing faces during rounding occur
Part 6: A Real-World Case Study
Scenario: A furniture designer models a wooden stool. The top seat is a 20" x 20" square with a 1" thickness. They apply Round Corner with a 0.75" radius to all top edges. Select the top face of the cracked model
What I’ve tried:
- A missing triangular face (a literal "crack").
- A reversed face (blue instead of white).
- Z-fighting (two overlapping faces flickering).
