Traktor Pro 2 on Mac — Quick Guide

What it is

Traktor Pro 2 is Native Instruments’ DJ software for mixing audio tracks, offering four decks, effects, looping, beat-sync, cueing, and detailed waveform views. It supports external controllers and audio interfaces.

1. Export your collection: In TP2, go to Collection > Export Collection. Save an .nml file.
2. Backup your MIDI mappings: Go to Documents > Native Instruments > Traktor 2.x.x > Settings and copy all .tsi files.
3. Import into TP3: Traktor Pro 3 has an import wizard for TP2 collections. Note: Your old S4 Mk2 will work in TP3, but the mixer FX section behaves slightly differently.
4. Embrace the subscription: TP3 is $99 one-time or $5/month. For new Macs, it’s worth it.
