Overview
This guide explains how to check, download, and install firmware updates for the ZLT P21 (portable projector). Follow steps carefully to avoid interruptions.

Method 1: Standard Update via Web Interface (Recommended)
- Connect your PC to the ZLT P21 via Ethernet. Set your PC’s IP to automatic (DHCP).
- Open a browser (Chrome/Firefox) and go to
http://192.168.0.1orhttp://192.168.1.1. - Login: Default credentials are often
admin/adminoradmin/password. Check your device sticker. - Navigate to Administration → Firmware Upgrade (sometimes called Management → Device Update).
- Click Choose File and select the downloaded
.binfirmware. - Click Upgrade or Flash. Do NOT refresh or close the browser.
- A progress bar will appear (~2–5 minutes). The router will reboot automatically.
- After reboot, log back in and verify the new version under Status → Device Info.
- Identify your exact hardware version – Look at the sticker under the device. Common variants: ZLT P21, ZLT P21S, ZLT P21E, or ZLT X21. Firmware is NOT cross-compatible.
- Current firmware version – Log into the admin panel (default:
192.168.0.1or192.168.1.1). Note the build number (e.g.,V2.0.0_20221015). - Backup settings – Navigate to System Tools → Backup/Restore and save a
.binconfig file. - Stable power supply – Use the original AC adapter. Do not run on USB power. A power outage during flashing will brick the unit.
- Wired connection – Connect your PC via Ethernet to LAN port 1. Do NOT update over Wi-Fi.
- Disable antivirus & firewall – Temporarily turn off programs that might block the firmware upload.
- Download correct firmware – Only from official sources (more on this below).
