To understand the confusion, we must go back to the original Julie 2. Released in 2017, Julie 2 is a Bollywood erotic drama directed by Deepak Shivdasani. It starred Raai Laxmi (also known as Lakshmi Rai) in the lead role, alongside Rati Agnihotri and Aditya Srivastava. The film was a spiritual sequel to the 2004 film Julie, but it did not perform well at the box office and received mostly negative reviews. Since then, there has been no official announcement from any production house regarding a Julie 3 or a Julie 2 sequel set in 2025.
